Dubai Holding confirms first private developer for Palm Jebel Ali

Dubai: A new partnership has been launched in Dubai to take on real estate projects in Palm Jebel Ali and Dubai design District.
Dubai Holding will work with Select Group - a developer with multiple projects completed and getting built in Dubai Marina - and its partner Emirates Strategic Investments Company to build 'landmark projects' in Palm Jebel Ali and Dubai Design District (d3).
This is also the first time that a private developer has been confirmed to take on projects at the Palm Jebel Ali. So far, it has only been Nakheel, the master-developer, that's launched villas and other units at the second Dubai Palm.
Dubai Holding’s says the move on Palm Jebel Ali shows its 'commitment to unlocking long-term value across its world-class master developments'.
Select Group will develop and deliver two large-scale developments.
At Palm Jebel Ali, the Group will create upscale residential and hospitality offerings that 'establish new benchmarks for luxury waterfront lifestyles in this world-class destination'.
The d3 project will be a 'vibrant' mixed-use community.
New Dubai super-luxury destination
Palm Jebel Ali’s seven islands will span over 13.4 kilometres and with 16 fronds and 90 kilometers of prime beachfront.
This, according to Dubai Holding, is the 'beginning of a new growth corridor in the Jebel Ali area'.
"The landmark development is designed with several mixed-use pedestrian-friendly neighbourhoods offering panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf," said a statement.
“Palm Jebel Ali is an iconic development poised to elevate Dubai’s global reputation as a premier waterfront destination," said Khalid Al Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Real Estate.
"By joining forces with Select Group, we are delivering on the leadership’s vision of creating a world-class coastal destination that sets new standards in luxury residential and hospitality experiences."
